Michel Hensen - Senior ConsultantLinkedIn

Michel Hensen joined ICC in September 2013, as a Currency and Interest-Rate Risks Consultant. In this position, he advises clients on all aspects of FX and IR hedging.

  • Advising on appropriate interest-rate and currency hedges
  • Pricing treasury products
  • Financial Derivates

After graduating in Financial Administration Management from Nyenrode Business University, Michel began his career as a trainee in ABN Amro’s Financial Markets division. After the takeover, he held various positions at RBS and Fortis, primarily within the treasury sales divisions, where he focused on the sale of FX and short-term interest-rate products to financial institutions, such as insurers and pension funds. After leaving ABN Amro, he spent several years at ING, as a Derivative Structurer. In this role, he learned all the ins and outs of the technical side of derivates.

Eager to further assist organizations with the knowledge he had gained, Michel decided to further his professional career at ICC. Now, in his advisory role, he can truly put the client’s interests first, without any conflict of interest and without the pressure of having to achieve extra-high margins.

During his career, Michel has qualified as a CFA, taken numerous courses and obtained various certificates.

He spends his leisure time chiefly on running, cycling, karate and drumming.
